No doubt, sooner or later you  may receive an email that sounds something like this:


Greetings, 


I am ________ from ________ , I actually observed my wife has been viewing your website on my laptop and I guess she likes the ________, I must also say you are doing great job. I would like to know what pieces you have available as I would like to purchase a gift for my wife as soon as possible. I am very much interested in the purchase to surprise my wife for our upcoming Anniversary , I would greatly appreciate if you could possibly recommend a few completed original piece, I look forward to reading from you Asap Regards ,

Thank you, to Jeanne Guertin-Potiff, who recently drew my attention to such a scam email she received and reached out to me. She then went on to search this type of scam and this is what she wrote to me:


Here’s a link to the site I found. She goes through the entire exchange, then lists what she should have done. Also, includes other resources for checking scams. 

Just putting in the name on my message brought up several search results. That is probably a good first step.
