Yes, you can work with oil/cwm OVER an encaustic painting, but once you transition into the oil/cwm, you must never heat it and this means you cannot use encaustic paint on top of the oil/cwm. The oil/cwm become the FINAL layers of the painting.
I know you can do acrylics and finish with cold wax and oils can you do the same with encaustics? Print
